We have oodles of new colorways up for our Go Team! Baseball Yarns. Grab a skein to get ready for Spring Training and Opening Day in April! Here in the Milwaukee area we have an AWESOME event in June called Stitch N’Pitch where knit and crochet crafters celebrate together in a special section at the game. Every year ticket-holders receive a special edition bobblehead, and its always a blast chatting up fellow knitters and crocheters. Do you have a similar event in your area? We’d love to hear about it!
Congrats to our Spring Training Giveaway winners: Avi Cataudella and Caitlin Dunnavant! They have each won a custom sock skein of their fave MLB team’s colors!
Here’s a sneak peak at the beads we’re using for our accompanying baseball stitch markers.

Let me be the first to nominate February as National Mini-Skein Month! But seriously, we are giving the mini some love this month by including a free mini-skein with any purchase at Brew City Yarns through March 1. And don’t forget to take a look at the saving in our mini-skein section. The more you buy, the more you save!
Mini-skeins are the perfect way to take a yarn out for a test-drive to see if you like it. Many knitters use them for sock yarn blankets, hexipuffs, or to make scrappy socks!
Our first offering of the Alice in Wonderland Sock Yarn club is up in the shop! The January selection colored with wit, whimsy, and a little the madness we’ve come to associate with the Cheshire Cat. Silvery purple and pinks stripe the palette with just a hint of the jade green of his eyes.
We only use the most luxurious yarn bases for our sock club selections, and this month is no exception. January’s Cheshire Cat base is made of 50% Merino, 25% Alpaca, and 25% Nylon to in a generous 430 yards of fingering yarn.
AND we’ve updated the mini-skeins in the shop! This is one of our most popular items, and we’re having a hard time keeping them in stock. January’s 5-pack of colors is up, so grab ’em while you can! Or as my Pokemon-obsessed 6 year old says “Gotta catch them all!”
I have a feeling I’m not the only one who was a little hung over after Brews N’ Knits this past Sunday!
We had a great turnout at the Lakefront Brewery, and the weather even cooperated with sun and no snow!I really liked Sammy aka the “Cutie on Duty” tour guide. He even managed to throw in a few knitting jokes and show off his handknits.
There were a few tense moments when the beer ran out and Sammy almost had a riot on his hands. Who said knitters were shy and quiet? This was the line to the refill bar. I was a little worried we were going to have to crack open a few kegs! And my favorite point of the tour was when we got to re-enact the “Laverne & Shirley” theme song.
After the tour, we all got to mingle and everyone got their goody bags!
I have the bestest mom and sister, who both came to the event!
And Laura and I had a great time getting to know everyone at the tour. We really appreciate everyone’s support, and hope to do another tour next winter!
Don’t miss our flash sale!
